My prior experience comes from working as a private practitioner followed by several years with leading legal tech and compliance companies. For the past several years, I have served as General Counsel for The Rosewood Family of Companies – a fast-moving group of companies that build, sell, and operate in complex, regulated industries. Alongside Chandler and Jamie, who have grown the Rosewood Family of Companies into a national presence, I have seen firsthand what it takes to scale and protect a business while still moving quickly.
In my GC role, I have been the one to balance risk against opportunity, to make judgment calls without perfect information, and to protect the business without killing the deal. I have seen where traditional legal approaches fall short for growing companies, especially when they are navigating technology that changes in real time.
